Nordic Ware’s Grill Pan is made from stainless steel with a polished finish and is approximately 16” x 13” x 0.6”. The sides are raised slightly and have small handles. The back is also raised, the front is open. The entire bottom section is perforated with round holes. In cross section, it’s slightly wedge-shaped.

The 365 grill pan is made in the USA by Nordic, which is still a family owned and operated business even in the age of mega-corporations. The 365 refers to their line of products designed to be used every day of the year, either outdoors or in the kitchen. It certainly suits a kitchen environment with its mirror finish, it looks good.

It’s designed mostly for grilling smaller of finely chopped foods, things that would normally fall through the grills bars. This version has holes instead of slots, which means it can’t hold very finely chopped foods, but is so much easier to clean than the slotted ones. The carrying handles are quite small, but still useful, and don’t forget the oven mitts because they’ll get hot on the grill. Another thing to consider is this version is only recommended for temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s fine for the average barbecue, but don’t expect it to last long if your particular set up is more like a forge.

As the grill pan is made from stainless steel, it’s easy enough to clean up after, particularly with the holes. If you do wash it with soapy water or in the dishwasher, don’t forget to spray plenty of oil on it next time you use it.

Overall this is a good product, but more ‘good for the price’ than anything else. It’s practical and modern looking and does what it claims to do, but comparing it to others helps to explain why it’s more of a budget item.
